Monumental Elegance Meets Botanical Beauty
Step into a world where paper takes flight—and metal becomes poetry. Origami in the Garden is a globally celebrated outdoor sculpture exhibition that transforms the ancient art of paper folding into awe-inspiring, large scale metal sculptures. Presented by renowned Santa Fe artists Jennifer and Kevin Box, this exhibit gracefully weaves together artistic expression, mythological storytelling, and the natural beauty of our botanical landscape.
This breathtaking experience will be on display at Peace River Botanical & Sculpture Gardens—the youngest garden ever selected to host this internationally touring exhibit.

Witness the Magic of Transformation
The heart of Origami in the Garden lies in its storytelling. Through a combination of ancient paper-folding techniques and cutting-edge metal casting, Kevin Box and his collaborating origami masters—including Robert J. Lang, Michael G. LaFosse, Beth Johnson, and others—bring delicate paper models to life as monumental public art.
Visitors will have access to interpretive signage, audio tours, and live demonstrations throughout the run of the exhibit. Watch how a blank sheet of paper becomes a soaring crane, a galloping pony, or a blossoming butterfly—each sculpture echoing the elegance of the original fold.

Interactive Experiences & Programming
As part of this immersive exhibit, we will offer a series of interactive experiences and artistic activities designed to engage and inspire:
- Origami Workshops for families, kids, and adults
- Interactive Stations throughout the Gardens
- Educational tours and hands-on learning experiences

Whether you’re folding your first paper crane or composing a haiku under a banyan tree, Origami in the Garden encourages creative expression and quiet wonder.

Folded Dreams in Bloom
Origami in the Garden is more than a sculpture exhibit—it’s an invitation to experience the art of possibility. Every sculpture begins as a simple square. Every path through our Gardens reveals a new perspective. And every visitor becomes part of the story that’s still unfolding.
